Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on the 1st of October 1995. She is an acclaimed actress who has appeared on Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006,) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House.
Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film maker and actor family. She pursued both professions herself. Sogni e bisogni, directed by Sergio Citti and starring Asia Argento when she was nine, was her very first film. She had a leading role as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo in 1988. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. Then, in 1989, she was Nanni Moretti's (also directed) daughter, also directed by Michele Soavi in Red Wood Pigeon. Close Friends (written and directed by Michele Placido) was when Asia's acting career took off. She played roles that ranged from young roles before becoming more mature. Cannes International Film Festival received the film well. She has made three films along with her father, Trauma, The Stendhal syndrome and Phantom of the opera. The Phantom of the Opera is the third time she has collaborated together with the director's father. The others are Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato A Nozze showed Asia's absorption way that she exhibited in her acting. In 1993, she portrayed Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista, a role so complex that she won the David di Donatello Award for the best actress. Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot. It was an international role. The year 1995 was the first time she appeared in a film with Michel Piccoli as Traveling Companion in the film Peter Del Monte. This role won her both the David di Donatello award (for the top actor) as well as an award from Grolla in Oro. Asia began her career in 1994 as a director she produced two short films: Prospettive (1996), an account of her father's life and her mother, as well as Abel/Asia (1998) which was a documentary about cult filmmaker Abel Ferrara. The latter won an award from the Rome Film Festival. Asia began directing her first feature film in 1999 with Scarlet Diva (2000). She was also the main actress, and the author of the film's script. The film was released on May 20 on the 20th of May in Italy along with the rest of world. This film was awarded at the Williamsburg Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou was her first born daughter in 2001. After directing several music videos, she got Anna Lou. The actress starred alongside Jean-Marc Barre in The Red Siren, directed by Olivier Megaton. In 2003 she was in Vin Diesel and Rob Cohen's action-thriller. Asia is also the author of a number of stories that have been published in a variety of high-end magazines.
